Banaba is a medicinal plant that grows in the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Taiwan. Much of the current research on banaba has been done in the Philippines. Recent studies shows that banana can be used in the treatment of diabetes and as an ingredient in weight loss products.
